“It is a common misconception that those who are disabled are unable. Unable to advocate for themselves, unable to make choices, and unable to be a full member of society. CVE exists to dispell those beliefs by allowing the client to decide for themselves what their goals are and how to reach them. While there may be some set backs along the way, it is only through first hand experience that one learns and grows.
This process is fostered by a supporting cast of empathetic coaches, in this case, the CVE staff.
We exist not to tell a client what is best for them, but to listen and reaffirm their hope.”
-D. A. Finnerty, 2007
